A catch-all functionality that is activated for a given mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise said, if you delete an email address and someone still sends an email to it, or to any misspelled email address under the same domain, you will get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be vital if you run a business, for instance. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited messages, you can combine the catch-all functionality with email filters in order to receive only legitimate messages in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

If you’ve got a Linux cloud hosting with our company and you’d like to activate the catch-all feature for a certain mailbox that you have in the web hosting account, it will take literally only one click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to achieve this. A catch-all button is available next to each and every email address that you have set up under any domain name registered in your account. You can choose one address per domain name by clicking the corresponding button. This will enable the feature straight away, so all messages sent to misspelled addresses will be re-sent there. Clicking on the button once again will turn off the catch-all feature. In case you’ve got active email forwarding, our system will exhibit a cautionary notice and you won’t be able to enable the catch-all feature until you remove the forwarding or you can simply select some other mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all functionality can be enabled without difficulty if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you’ve created with the domain names hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be displayed in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will see a tiny symbol handily situated directly next to each of them. With just a mouse click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choice provided that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with this option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable the feature through the context menu that will pop up. If any of the requirements for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will inform you, but will not disable or replace anything automatically.
